Olympian Luke Is The Ambassador Of Largs Sail Charity

The British sailing team’s Olympian Luke Patience has been chosen as the official ambassador of the Largs Sailing charity, the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.

He is a very popular sailor in Britain and is a member of the Great Britain’s Olympic sailing team for the past two Olympics. He has also won a silver medal at the London Olympics in 2012. This is the highlight of his sailing career so far.

Luke is very happy to be involved with the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. He said that he has been an avid racer all his life. But, being part of such a noble cause and charity organization is a new ground for him. It is a very humbling experience. He is looking forward to giving something back to the people and that too through the sport that has given him so much in his life.

This announcement from the trust came after Luke joined the crews from the Round Britain 2107 voyage conducted by the trust. This national relay involved over 100 people recovering from cancer to visit over 60 towns and ports around the British Isles. Luke had joined a few people on the first few legs of the relay.

This is an epic sailing relay that commenced at the Largs Yacht Haven in May and it will conclude on its return leg to the Scottish base of the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Charity in September. Luke said that he is very happy about the amazing work that the trust has been put over the years and is very happy to be part of this wonderful initiative by the trust. He said that it is a great honor for him to become one of the official ambassadors of the trust. Luke also said that the young people are his constant inspiration.
