Your trip on Blue Dolphin Too will be private, meaning it will be for your group only. This allows us to tailor the itinerary to suit your needs and with berths for up to 10 guests. Blue Dolphin Too is perfect for groups of friends, families and romantic getaways.

We customize every trip to center around surfing, diving, fishing, exploring remote and untouched beaches or a combination of any of the above. Here are a few suggested trips, you can take one of these or make up your own!

The coastline of Guanacaste is one of the most beautiful stretches in Central America. From the Gulf of Papagayo in the North to the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula in the central South, there are endless beautiful bays where the jungle reaches right down to the water. Numerous surf breaks and dive locations are available to choose from depending on the direction of swell or dive conditions.

3 day / 2 night Witch’s Rock & Ollies Point surf fest:

This trip departs early on the first morning to get you up to Witch’s by noon and allows close to 48 hours in the Witch’s/Ollies area- plenty of time to get the spots all to yourself before and after the other boats show up. We serve great home cooked meals including 2 great dinners, 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches and unlimited snacks and beverages. We will return around mid-afternoon on the 3rd day.

3 day/2 night Gold Coast Exploration:

After an early departure on the first morning, you can be paddling into the juicy rights/lefts of Marbella. This uncrowded break has a couple of world class waves depending on the direction of the swell. After surfing the morning away, we will haul up the anchor and sail South towards Playa Carillo. If time permits, a sunset surf is possible at Camaronal, a meaty and hollow wave that breaks on almost any swell. Day Two, after a morning surf at either Camaronal or the Carillo River Mouth, enjoy a deluxe breakfast while sharing surf stories from the previous days. There are many options for day two. We can explore known or onknown surf spots along the coast. We can fish for lunch or dinner, or if Playa Camaronal is going off, we can spend the day there. At any time take a break while listening to some good music, or taking the dingy for snorkeling at the point.

5 days/ 4 nights Gold Coast Exploration:

Same itinerary as above, but we have time to make it all the way to the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. There are endless beaches and surf breaks to explore in this area including Malpais, Montezuma, Playa Tambor, and Tango Mar. Besides some great surfing to be had, there are hikes to the Seven Sacred Falls of Montezuma, as well as a waterfall right on the beach in Tango Mar. One night can be spent on the Islas Tortugas (Turtle Islands).

7 days + :

With a week plus, there is time to customize your itinerary for a lot of different options. Going North, we could put together a trip that begins with Witches Rock and Ollies Point, then continues North through the Murcielagos (Bat Islands), famous for its diving, marine life and beauty, and then onto explore Nicaragua. The Southern zone of Nicaragua is fast becoming a newly discovered surfers’ Mecca. After checking in at San Jaun del Sur, we will sail to some secret breaks.

7 days + :

Going South, there is the entire coastline of Costa Rica to discover. From tons of both discovered and undiscovered surf breaks, to experiencing a truly magical coastline. We will surf and dive all the way down to the Osa Peninsula is in the far South of Costa Rica. This is a beautiful area with dense rainforest that is a host to an abundant array of tropical wildlife. It is also home to one of the longest lefts in the world at Pavones, with a fantastic right hander across the Gulfo Dulce at Mata Palo. Blue Dolphin Too offers the opportunity of sailing right up to the surf breaks and paddling in without all the hassle of overland travel, parking, access, and looking for accommodations.

12 days +:

Panama here we come!!! The coastline between the Panama Canal and Punta Burica on the border with Costa Rica is one of rich beauty and uncrowded surf. There are hundreds of islands with known and unknown breaks, including the famous “Panamanian Pipeline” near the island of Santa Catalina. This break is world class, even though its actually a right hander, not a left like the Pipeline in Hawaii.
